Meet Dr. Jacques Zhang
Dual Board-Certified Plastic Surgeon | FRCPSC (Plastic Surgery)
Dr. Jacques Zhang is one of the few plastic surgeons in British Columbia who holds dual board certification in both Canada and the United States. Trilingual in English, Mandarin Chinese, and French, Dr. Zhang is proud to serve a diverse range of patients across Vancouver, the Fraser Valley, and previously in Boston.
His academic journey began at McGill University, where he graduated with First-Class Honours in Pharmacology. He then earned his medical degree and completed his Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery residency at the University of British Columbia, where he served as Chief Resident and received multiple awards, including the H. Rocky Robertson Award in Surgery and the George W. Leroux Memorial Scholarship.
To further hone his expertise, Dr. Zhang completed a prestigious Hand Surgery Fellowship at Harvard University’s Mass General Brigham, followed by additional microsurgical training at Columbia University in New York.
He is a Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada (FRCPSC) and an active member of:

Dr. Zhang holds hospital privileges at Royal Columbian Hospital (RCH), Eagle Ridge Hospital (ERH), Surrey Memorial Hospital (SMH), Peace Arch Hospital (PAH), and the Jim Pattison Outpatient Care and Surgery Centre (JPOC). He performs a wide range of procedures covered by MSP, WCB, and private care.
